Securing Gaskets

Clip oil pan gaskets in place. The best way to secure a new gasket in place is with spring-loaded clothespins. Apply gasket sealer to the pan , put the gasket in place on the pan and clamp it with clothespins. Once the sealer is tacky, you can remove the pins and put the pan back in place without any worries about the gasket shifting on you.
