Every year, thousands of people venture out to explore the trails, mountains, lakes, rivers and wilderness that covers America. Some people never return. Each year, there are natural disasters like fire, flood, hurricane, avalanche or tornado that strike unexpectedly and leave hundreds lost, injured, or buried under rubble. In both cases, a quick rescue is needed to prevent disaster.
To make that quick rescue possible, Stacey David has teamed up with BESTOP to build “The Guardian” ... A state-of-the-art Search and Rescue vehicle to help find those people when the minutes count. The Guardian will be based on a new Jeep Gladiator, built this season by Stacey on the GEARZ TV show and then used by the Search and Rescue Dogs of the U.S. (SARDUS)
The Guardian will be outfitted with performance off road suspension, running gear and heavy-duty bumpers and winches for when the going gets rough. Proper lighting will allow it to see in the dark and performance upgrades will make sure it can get where it is going in a hurry. Since this is a real Search and Rescue rig it will also be loaded with the proper recovery gear to assist those Search and Rescue dogs.
People may or may not like the look of the new Jeep Gladiator but in an emergency when the chips are down and time is of the essence, they will LOVE the sight of the Guardian arriving on the scene!
A charity that uses dogs to help find lost people in all kinds of situations from natural disasters, to crime scenes, to lost hikers.
