I am an Active-Duty Army Warrant Officer and am currently hitting my 16 years of service to our beloved Nation. When I was 11 years old, I would walk to and from school which is where I first saw a classic Mini Cooper. It was abandoned and rusted out, of course, but something about it had me hooked and I told myself then that I had to have one. Fast forward, I’m now 33 years old and after selling our house in Virginia during our PCS move to Georgia, I finally had the money to buy one. It was now or never so I had one shipped from Japan and now the labor of love is ongoing. I grew up doing auto body with my uncle and working on cars in the neighborhood, so for now I am focused on what I know I can do and every day (when I have the time) I find problems from previous work done that require me to learn new skills such as welding. After some patience, research, and a lot of YouTube, I make do to chip away at the tremendous task of restoration. As a Southern California native, the vision is to eventually make it a Lowrider with airbag suspension to get it as low as possible while still being able to enjoy the cruise. My weekend ritual was waking up to a cup of coffee and your show to motivate me so that I can take on this task myself. Thank you for the motivation to keep pushing.
