SR-71 Build Inspiration

Our SR-71 Rapid Tool Express demands some custom metalwork on the body so that we can incorporate themes from the legendary airplane and blend it in with the “existing DNA” of our panel van. Stacey talks about his approach to this build and where he gets his inspiration for this build.

  1. Just a few words regarding the E3 Spark Plugs. I personally have never used them in a car or truck. In my Sears Craftsman Snowblower however, I replaced the stock plug with an E3 two years ago, works great, no issues. With my Craftsman Weed Wacker though, I barely fired off and when it did, it never ran more than 10 seconds. They work for SOME engines, but not ALL!

  2. Just a bit of a gee-whiz I had seen some of the SR-17 shows, awesome aircraft indeed, I worked on the SR-71 in 1979-1981 as a flight ground crew member at Beale AFB and Okinawa Japan. Preform routine maintenance on it, launch and recovery etc. Also referred to as the HUBU…
