E3 Spark Plugs announced the winner of their 2011 BIGFOOT 4x4 Sweepstakes on September 2nd and that lucky fan got an incredible experience at the 30th Anniversary 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. After entries for the contest closed on August 19th, E3 company president Todd Arey drew registration number 28,562 which belonged to Ken Brady of Port Angeles, Washington.
Ken had the opportunity to ride along with professional BIGFOOT driver Dan Runte in the E3 Spark Plugs sponsored Bigfoot #8, and he and a guest were VIP’s for the weekend at the 2011 4-Wheel Jamboree in Indianapolis, Indiana September 16th-18th. Not only was Ken a part of the crew for the racing portion of the show, but also got to meet Bob Chandler, inventor and owner of BIGFOOT, and our own Stacey David.
When contacted by Steve Joiner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ken said, “I’m really excited about winning this contest. When I have the time, I visit a site called SweepstakesToday.com. I saw the E3-BIGFOOT promotion and thought, now there’s a grand prize I’d like to win. How many people can say they’ve taken a ride in BIGFOOT?”
A retired military man, Ken drove and fired tanks for a number of years, with fifty tons of crushing power at his disposal. That experience helped give him the fortitude he needed for his bone -jarring BIGFOOT ride.
“I knew the chances were remote but I entered anyway,” continued Ken prior to the event. “I like monster trucks and I like having new adventures so that was my motivation to enter. I’ve received a lot of congratulations at work and was told to take plenty of pictures and videos. I’m looking forward to having a fantastic experience, and would like to thank E3 Spark Plugs for providing this opportunity. My daughter will be joining me, and she is as excited as I am.”
Stacey also had a great time attending the event, and meeting Ken. What else could be better than hanging out with Bob Chandler, Dan Runte, the entire Bigfoot Crew, and a well deserving winner like Ken! Not only did Stacey get to hang out in the Bigfoot Pit, he also helped present Ken with an amazing Summit Racing Equipment fire suit & Simpson helmet. A few last minute pointers from Stacey didn’t hurt either! After the wild ride, Stacey asked Ken what he thought. Ken’s reply was “It was like a roller-coaster”. We agree Ken, A BIG roller-coaster.
