I LOVE this, Stacey - one of the best tips I've seen. Who hasn't wished for an extra set of "hands" for all sorts of projects?
As a matter of fact, I like the idea of using this clamp in place of the "spray can top" soldering tip because the added weight of the clamp will help hold the work in place better while you solder it. Of course, you DO lose the built-in drip trap the spray can top creates, but that's a minor inconvenience!

For the grommets,i use a drop of crazy glue to connect the ends together,less likely for them to work out.
ever have a stuck or squeaky something or other you cant reach,or didnt want to spray the lube all over everything?
the plastic tubes arent always long enough or need to go around a corner,strip a piece of 14 or 16 guage wire and slip another tube into the 1"piece of insulation.slide it onto the spray can's "noodle" and you now have a bendable long reach spray lube.
